This year, we have witnessed many acts of courage by individuals and groups across the world; from citizens peacefully protesting against oppressive regimes to marginalised groups advocating for their lives to matter. Some of us were able to physically pound the pavement in solidarity whilst the rest of us supported online with tweets, hashtags and memes.
We successfully amplified the groanings of our brothers and sisters around the world whose rights and freedoms have been suffocated by oppressive governments and structures.
Beyond getting involved in issues of social justice, some of us have confronted our own personal Pharaohs: unreasonable managers, overbearing friends, destructive habits that have created strongholds, family members who take advantage. If you’re like me, you probably did it quaking in your boots but you did it any way.
Fix your mind on one moment over the last 10 months where you had to be courageous and take a stand. Now, thank God for giving you courage and not letting you buckle under pressure.
Prayer of Thanksgiving
Father, thank You for courage to confront giants in 2020. Thank You for strengthening my will and resolve in the face of injustice.
